Hardy costal divaricating shrub. Distinctive small heart shaped deciduous leaves on wiry interlocking branches.

Very graceful tussock form grass up to 1m in height. A profusion of arching, feathery flower plumes buries plants under a rosy hued cloud.

var. albus. A spreading, weeping shrub having cool, white flowers with a hint of green.
